Self-trained in oil painting as my predominant medium. Abstractly composed, my work cannot deny my fascination for the human body and its complex interactions with others. Figures result from elements placed on the canvas in a sculptural manner to reveal before the observer an aesthetic amalgam that brings it to life. A dynamic relationship between the groupings evoke movement in each piece fostering a rapport with an engaging background. Overall my work emphasizes the parts. In the context of a seemingly random display the whole becomes apparent as tensions evolve. The artwork may be appealing or incite disapproval, nonetheless, provokes introspective reflection in the context of an abstract representation bringing immediacy to a pause.
